Default Senegal a good choice?

Hello everyone,

Ok. I think I've narrowed it down to a Senegal. There are no breeders in my area to see for myself firsthand so I am asking for your help in trying to decide which is best for me.

I know all birds make noise but a bird that is not too noise is preferable. Talking is not a high priority but if the senegal could talk well that would be nice. The senegal is supposed to have a good talking ability and is supposed to be full of personality (real clowns - hang on one foot, lie on its back, etc., etc.). I've also heard that the senegal is a one person bird and if not socialized correctly can be aggressive towards others.

Do you think this is a good decision?

Thanks everyone!!!

well of course I think its a good decision. So does Zoey! Zoey doesn't really talk she has a way of saying hello and can imitate my pager perfectly. She is a doll.

jimpierce Thanks for the response.
I really, really hope that my new baby won't be too noisy. I've asked lots of people and have gotten lots and lots of different answers. I've sent in my deposit today now I'll have to wait 10-12 weeks but I'm excited!!!!!

In my opinion your choice is great I just love Senne's and coming from a house full of macaws I can tell you your noise level will be very low
