Re: New Tausi Pics All my birds hold special little places in my heart, but I have to admit that Tausi has a little bigger piece than the others. When I first got him, he was very paranoid about stepping up, but other than that, has always been the sweetest boy anyone could ask for. Although I make it a point not to excessively cuddle any birds, he's always been totally bonded to me, and all I have to do is walk over and say hi for him to start regurgitating. It's taken a long time, but he's finally starting to get over being radically clipped before fledging. He's quite comfortable in the air now, and getting more maneuverability all the time. He's still only at about 50 percent when it comes to graceful landings though, the poor guy. Quite the little talker too! Says hi, how are you, good boy, pretty boy, hi Nate, whats the matter with you, and has several ring tones and whistles in his repertoire. He's the only Red Bellied I've ever known, but if he's any indication of the breed as a whole, you'd be hard pressed to do better than a Red Bellied. Only caveat I've noticed is that he's a bit of a weenie, and very slightly prone to panics. Don't know how well he'd do in a loud and busy home with a bunch of kids running around. |
