Well....I errored.....we kept the little blue Quaker with the splay legs.....I named him....little blue.
His legs came out fine, then the saddest morning came.
I went to get little blue for breakfast, he stepped right up, I walked to the kitchen and placed him on the perch, sat down to eat, and away he flew.....his first and only flight....I found him with a broken neck...and yelled for Rose Ann...
Little Blue died within seconds.....
This is why I am so set in my ways concerning wing clipping....
We raised these 2 from itty bitties.....The tears that fell.......
I started a thread not long ago....Moderation in your birds diet...meat was an issue....I read someones reply....why risk giving your bird meat....WHY RISK YOUR BIRDS LIFE BY NOT CLIPPING HIS/HERS WINGS...I think the same principle applies....
Anyways.....here's one of the baby's sitting on Rose Anns lap

And water bottle training.

Now.....I am going to do all I can to get that little one (orphaned) back home here where she belongs....
