Its an interesting theory...I have had three quakers in my life, my Gertie who is a 15 yr old presumed male...Buddy who I rehomed who is a 3 yr old dna'd male (after I rehomed him my gertie stopped plucking and has since grew all his feathers back) And one of my other siblings has a blue quaker not sure of the sex..But I'll look at these guys a little closer and try to compare them to those pics..

Yep, Shrek fits the profile including the blue feathers on the wingtips! He's a 20 yr old guy who's never laid an egg!

For many years my wife and I have cared for Monk Parakeets, what we have learned is the sexing issue is best determined by a dna sample.
But then Rose and I make bets, we both can tell the sex by the birds behavior.
So far.....we have always been right...
Just as with pigeons...the females are more submissive, timid, better manored.
Males are more active, louder, aggressive in nature.
Our Quakers are the same...

I make guess with the suns based on behavior also, they also feel different. So far I have been right. I take these guesses with the vet when he is sexing.

There's an old saying that applies here, "if one hangs around the barber shop long enough there bound to get a hair cut"...."well...if one hangs around birds long enough....your bound to learn alot by there behavior"......
