Default Quaker with no toys

My Rose went into Petsmart here in Anoka, Found a nice little Quaker in a cage all the way at the bottom near the floor, Just a perch and NO TOYS.
A great little talker all alone.
Sooo, Rose spent some time with the little one and played for awhile, then she headed for the manager.
"Why does that little Quaker have no Toys" she asked.
"Why is that little bird all the way down at the bottom, Don't you want that bird to go to a good home?"
"That little bird is a very nice little bird, He needs some toys".
"I will be back in a few days", "such a nice little bird, He needs Toys".
Rose Ann went back today, "still no Toys".
"Still in the bottom cage near the ground".
Rose Ann bought the little bird some toys, found the Manager and made sure the toys were placed in with the bird.
According to my wife, there conversation wasn't so nice this time...
I guess it ended with my Rose saying "I'LL Be Back"....."Soon".

Good for Rose! I've had it with pet stores... my heart breaks every time I go into one.

pet stores can be really really bad. i wish stores would stop selling animals, and only adopt, partnering with local shelters. you and rose both have such big hearts.

Rose and I have had bad run ins with Petsmart before, but many more with Petco.
Thanks for the offer Leigh, we already have corp numbers.
I can be kinda harsh when seeing birds suffer at petshops, but when my Rose speaks up for the birds.....WhooooHooooo.
Not that we don't love and care for all birds, but when it comes to the Quaker, wow my wife is simply awesome.
One would think of all the public outcry concerning animals being sold in petshops and the way they are being treated these shops would make changes before we the public make the changes for them.
I have followed many laws that were trying to pass into enactment concerning this issue, California recently tried to make it against the law for petshops to sell live animals, one wouldn't believe how many private breeders came out of the walls and told people to vote against it, on almost every forum I belong to I saw this happening, verbal fights broke out....
The fight to help animals is never ending.

That's what happens when a living being is bought and sold as just any other kind of merchandise. The bottom line is never love.
