The Quaker Parakeet is a very Hearty bird, they have adapted well here in the USA.
I can understand Mankind’s frustrations concerning the Quakers nesting habits, I do not understand the killing part, nor do I wish to.

I weep for this little bird.

We found "Chance" our female blue Quaker on Quakersville, Tom down in Florida sent her to us, Chance recently had a siezure, she has recovered but not quite 100%.
Chance is 5 years old now and such a little sweetheart, she has been given steriods and high protien mash, we also keep Chance on heat now, a ceramic heater keeps her nice and warm.
Picture of Chance is coming soon

I love Quakers! Here is another good site: www.brooklynparrots.com

I'm hoping to see some wild ones in the Panatanal. And of course there is Chaska, the light of my life!
