#1 | | | Please meet Pickles I met with Sarah, many tears fell, I assured Sarah Pickles will be loved and cared for to our fullest.
Rose and I have a new family member, Sooooo please meet Pickles.
Rose decided to wait and see what Toys came along, hopefully Pickles had a few cherished toys we can put in his new cage to help with the adjustment.
Later when Pickles has settled in I will post some of the cage setup...

#8 | | | Re: Please meet Pickles Geeee, That has been an issue lately, this is why Pickles came to us, the husband wasn't a bird person, same with Athena...
You can lead a horse to water but ya can't make them drink....Hmmmmmm Place your hand on the back of the husbands head...and push forward...LOL
My Rose and I are a team, she takes care of feeding, training, all aspects, I do all the cleaning, Dishes, Toys etc....and if Rose needs help with behavior issues I help out, but she rarely asks...
She is mainly Exotic, all the birds here within our home, Me...well my kids are outside and rescues....
Rose goes on Vacation, I stay at home with the kids...
My last Vacation was 16 years ago...
That reminds me, Andy goes in for his check up this Thursday and that will be my job....
I wish I could help ya concerning the husband issue, I guess I always thought a married couple both enjoyed there birds, or Dogs, Cats etc....
I live a fairly sheltered life, well my Rose keeps me fairly close to her anyways...LOL
Its work and Animals in this mans world...

#10 | | | Re: Please meet Pickles Pickles is sexually confused, He is (on and off) at a whims notice, he went from "best friend" to "attack" mode in a matter of seconds...
Sarah cared for Pickles for almost 2 years before getting married, then Pickles favored the new Husband and bagan biting Sarah everytime she approuched him, Then the favorite rejected him, (the husband).
Pickles was sexually stimulated while under Sarahs care.
Let me define sexually stimulated, stroking your bird the full length of there body, To much loving ways while together, then there was a shut off (on Pickles behalf) twords Sarah, now Pickles looks for the same kind of stimulation from his pick of humans "the Husband"...and doesn't receive what he is demanding......
Now he is sexually confused, His body language is extreme, he attacked me, he attacked Rose and last night he had to be toweled.
Jeckle-Hide.....
Birds are loners....then they seek out a mate in the wild, then we Humans bring a bird into our world as a pet "a loner that seeks a mate" what I just said must be "understood"....you can love your new friend without the stimulation, and know "please", what stimulation is, You can't be your birds MATE, "I mean no disrespect when saying this", all bird owners need to control how they touch there birds, How much time they spend with there birds, , I have seen this over and over again...then the Bird is discarded when this type of "unwanted behavior is presented"....
Birds protect there mates from all others..."fiercely"....they will do the same as a Pet Companion, "if being stimulated by the human", this turns out to be a "no win" situation for everyone concerned, and more so for the bird....
Gaining control and turning this situation around is going to be a long task.
