I am very intrigued by bird behaviour and watch mine many hours to just see what they do and try to understand what their body languages mean.
Buddy will try mumbling and talking away too and I love to sit and listen. His vocabulary is small due to lack of attention as he matured but he picked up lots since he's been here. When he first came, he would say step up and mumble other things I didn't understand.
Now he says, step up, kiss, whatcha doing, want some help, good boy, good bye, hello.
Vocabulary hasn't never been the first priority in owning a bird. It is a benefit if they do talk and I love to share it but if they do not say a word, as long as I know they are happy. |
We have so many babies here, sometimes its hard to keep up with all of them but my wife and I do our best.
Andy, our Blue Front Amazon is the only "don't touch me kid", the rest love to be touched and a few love to touch back with a nip here and there, just more scars to my collection,

For the most part I except all our kids as they are, I have very little expectations from them, but my wife enjoys teaching them different things, I enjoy watching her with our birds, she really fasinates me.
They say in the garden of eden all the animals came unto Eve so freely, well thats the way it is here in our home when it comes to my wife and her little friends.
Even those I have rescued and where said to be mean birds, seem to come to my wife without hesitation but not Andy, he is one tuff cookie.
& as usual, the wife calls Andy (my Bird)...

Hey, if ya ever need anything, please feel free to ask, thats what we are all here for, To Help.
Take Care, Talk soon
