She is a White Capped Pionus, almost 5 years old. I've had her since she was 7 months old, and she is a sweetheart. She's not a talker, but she does whistle, and tries to mumble something ....I just can't make it out.

Anyway, I often hear about people saying they're "drab" birds, SO NOT TRUE!! They're often overlooked as pets. Pi's are known not to get along well with other birds outside of their species, so her and Lu are kept apart. I know how hard she can bite and Lu, even though a mini-mac, can de-link, one by one, a stainless steel chain...and reshape the rim on a bell, so NO, I don't need any beakless birds here.

Now that's a gorgeous little bird you have there. I was wondering what the noise level on that species of bird is.
Out of the four birds that I have my Senegal is the noisiest, my Grey's have the ability for greater volume but Cleo (Sennie) is hands down the noisiest.

That first picture is adorable!

Mike, she's not really loud, she usually only gets riled up when Lu starts his hollering....and hers is cleverly disguised in his yelling, the untrained ear wouldn't hear it...she's got PERFECT timing.

I did find one video clip of her, alone...unfortunately you'll have to watch my daughter and 2 dogs...but you can close your eyes if ya want!!!


She is the first sound you'll hear.


She CAN be loud, but it's brief, a very high pitched TWEEEEEEEEET.....and thankfully, not often.
