YAY for the decreased plucking. It's fast! (I was thinking the other birds at her previous home not yours)...I'd make sure she has alot of the shredding toys like in the pix I emailed you before. They LOVE shredding especially little things or toys with beads they can "disconnect". In my avatar they're shredding confetti type paper little tiny pieces. Luckily they dont swallow them.

Well I'm not too good on the pellet thing since I dont use them. Just Harrison's Hi Po Mash for the Lipoma Budgie. What confuses me is that even Harrison says they have to actually EAT the majority of the diet in pellets to get the nutritional balance. I think he says 85%.

And if they ARE, then you arent supposed to supplement with man made V&M you get vitamin/mineral toxicity. BUT if her doctor said to use that supplement then I would. She's probably not eating the majority of the ZuPreem anyway, right? Since it's only a month anyway....

I cant google that seed right now, I need a new video card and everything has a yellow cast and it's a pain to read/see LOL.

Make sure it's for Tiels not small budgie seed, Tiel and Canary mix sorta. Some safflower is fine for Parrotlets they need the energy. I toss some Dr Harvey's in without the big sunflower.

It's hard to say about the egg food, I'd do what the vet said. Not every day, though. I'd give it 3x a week max. If you see pin feathers on the head where she wasnt plucked then I'd say its too much. That's the only way I know to tell. Too much protein is hard on the kidneys and liver too, long term.

When my parrotlets boarded for 4 days they got less veggies (none, actually) and sprouted some pin feathers, then just as quickly they stopped when they got home 4 days later eating their normal food. That's they only thing I have to go by.

I think she's going to come around it's sounding good. Just watch what she really DOES eat not just play around with lol. I put ONLY the fresh food in there from 1:30 till 3:30 when I work... then I return the seed but it's not really a problem they love that stuff. I throw ALOT of dark greens in , rotate various green veggies, always some orange and red, then add grains and fruits. I make up three days at a time and have some frozen. But I dont have a 1 year old human baby to chase around all day LOL.

Aw, I hope she can get feathers and learn to fly. Chipper can fly, I clipped her just a little, but she flies perfectly and loves it. She loves to fly to her cage from anywhere in the house. Seems like a birdy should fly. Good luck, just keep her from falling to the floor.
