I mentioned that Piper was named after the little airplane known as a Piper because she flies so well.

How did you get your name?

It's actually a name of one of my husband's relatives in Italy who loves birds.
I like the way you picked your name.

As a bird lover, I would consider that such an honor...to have a bird named after me!

Tomasso is really beautiful. You're so lucky to have a blue! I was holding out for a blue female, but after all green babies in the fall clutches and all green babies in the spring, my breeder hooked me up with a green girl.

I still think the blue mutations are stunning...but I wouldn't trade my Green Teddy Bear for anything in the world!

I know when I did my research on parrotlets, I had decided on a blue male. I was lucky that I found a breeder that had one blue male parrotlet that was only about 4 weeks old. (It must have been fate). If I couldn't find a blue male, I would have purchased a green male Parrotlet. Parrotlets are just wonderful birds. I knew that a Parrotlet was the breed I wanted. I picked Tommaso up when he was weaned at 8 weeks. He is now 15 months old. He is such a joy and a big part of our family.
