Hi Everyone! I posted my intro but thought that I would post a pic of Daisy our Pacific Parrotlet. She is 4 mos old (we have had her about a month).
She hates fingers so we are slowly and patiently getting her used to us. If I keep my hands behind my back she will usually come close inside her cage. She has started eating some bananas and some seeds which I'm so glad that she is venturing out for more things!

We have been trying that but I when we say "up" she thinks it means "attack". Right now we are just going slow. What I've been doing this week is opening her cage and then giving her new food, which she MUST come out and try. She sits & eats and I can get pretty close as long as my hands are behind my back. I figure that if I just keep doing that and not try to get her she'll learn to trust me and know I'm not going to hurt her.

It will take a little time... but believe me.... she wants to be out of the cage more then in the cage... So already you have a plus for her!
