My birds have been out of sorts lately so tonight was very special. We had a great time playing and relaxing and I got to spend a lot of one on one time with each of them.

Kita and I played on the floor with her Holee-Roller ball. She is just crazy about that thing. She got playing so hard when I tossed the ball I thought she would be air-born at any moment. She's never flown starting on the floor. So this was really neat to see. She would go up a good 3 feet in the air, her wings flapping as fast as they could go to get that ball. Her tongue was wagging pretty hard when we were done. We had some snuggle time and it was off to Nite-Nite. I wish I could have gotten video of her, but short of growing a third hand, I didn't want to disturb our good time. Maybe next time.

Kady was next, he doesn't play like Kita does, so we had a great conversation and some snuggle time. He just loves it when I talk to him. Just everyday conversation, like you would do with a friend on the phone. He listens so intently and cocks his head to one side, and nods YES every so often. Can't get much better than someone agreeing with everything you say. He enjoyed his snuggle time and it was off to Nite-Nite for him.

It was a good night.

It doesn't get any better than that, does it? It's great to hear that you got to just kick back and relax with them for a while. Give those babies some extra scritches for me, will ya?

I'm glad you had such a good evening. I'd have loved to see Kita playing like that. Ollie sounds more like Kady.
