Default There it is! - Tiki Egg 1 - 08-18-2007

There it is, finally! What a relief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (for both of us!)

1 - 35g egg, perfectly formed and nice and smooth with a nice hard and good thickness shell. Good membrane too, I can see it because she cracked it a bit after she laid it.

That's huge!! Glad to read it was in mint condition. Good job Tiki!! Does she usually only have one?

Kita had 4 last time, and they were all right about 28 g.

Not fertile..... I will have to try and take a pic to comp it to a chicken egg. I expect 2-3 total; she laid 3 last year.

According to Structure of the Egg - Incubation and Embryology - University of Illinois Extension the average chicken egg is 57g

Yes, she let me take it away. No agression at ALL. She does not seem to want to incubate it, in fact she just breaks it more if I try to hand it back to her.
