talking?

Hey guys, I was curious about something for those that have macaws...
at what age could they start talking?

My baby Bue and Gold, Jewel, will be 3 months old in a few days and she has only been here for 2 days now, but I swear shes trying to talk already... A few times I've heard what seemed like a very good attemt at HELLO and a few times I swore I heard STEP UP. I mean it wasnt clear as day, and I very well could be imagining it, but it sounded an awful lot like she was trying to talk.

WOW!!! maybe she's trying to say "wheres Auntie Leigh?"

Thats awesome Josh! Sounds like she is adjusting well then. She eating ok for you?

Most don't talk before the age of one-two years.
She could be starting now with mumbled words.

If she was in the store she would have a lot of people saying hello so I can see where that may come up.. congratulations. sounds like quick learner she will be...............

Ceilidh, Rowan and Kenobi all started talking at or before 3 months of age. Mikey Blue started at about 5 months. Bob and Arthur were both talking by 4 months. Simple words or phrases to start, such as "hello" and "step up" or "Hi, Bob!", but definitely intelligible to the naked human ear :-).

Oh good, I'm not going crazy then!!! She is definitley saying Hello, Step up, and Hi, Shes done it a bunch today already

Nope, you're not going crazy--yet. Wait 'til you've got 6 or 7 macaws, THEN you'll go crazy :-).
