|  It's a Girl! I am so excited! I just heard from my breeder that my baby Hyacinth Macaw is a girl! She is 14 weeks old and starting to try to fly out of her bin! She is still being weaned and she won't joint me until January, but I am so excited to learn this! I had already decided on the name "Ivy" if it was a girl, so Ivy it is. Photos will be coming soon, as soon as I have them  | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Re: It's a Girl! Mikey Blue weaned at 8 months. I think that's about average, but they can wean as young as 7 months, and as old as a year. Congratulations on your baby girl! I love the name :-). I just found out that my new baby Scarlet is a girl, too. Just like I'd been hoping for. Ain't it great when things work out just like we wish they would?
