Congrats - it is kind of funny hearing the surprise in your 'voice'. Now you won't be wondering if the hormones will get in the way in the next few years - as was said, no nesting.

It sounds ideal anyway you look at it. It certainly doesn't make your birds more feminine or masculine to the outside world. You could even continue to call Harley a he & no one but you will ever know or care - until she needs a new home or something.

Our Maxie was a he as far as we knew until Max(ine) graced us with 4 eggs earlier this year.Least ya won't be surprised like we were We have had her since she was 2 and she's now 8 so I guess she's coming along nicely .

I just got off the phone with Hubby...and am happy to report that he was not at all disappointed as I thought he would be!!

It is going to be hard to think of Harley as a girl. I don't think that Rob will be to disappointed he will just have a daddy's girl instead of a boy. He still has Robert to be his boy but now he will be out numbered with all the girls in the house. I really thought it would come back girl and boy a real surprise Keke say girls rule anyway!!

Well, as a female human, I can't help but add that "Girls Rule, Boys Drool" *grins*. That said, when I greet our flock in the morning, I always say "Hello, Boys!", even though I know darn well that Rowan is a girlie-girl to her very DNA'd core. I doubt she's going to suffer any longterm trauma 'cause I refer to her as one of the boys :-). Harley will prolly adapt well enough to being a girl. After all, "he" undoubtedly knew all along :-).

Yup, it happens. Our Buffon's, Pinkerton, was "for sure" a boy LOL but, ended up nick-naming her Pinky. It sure is difficult on the Daddy though!

LOL I will make sure I know what I have when I get them. It would drive me crazy not knowing. I am just like that though. LOL ~Jenna
