Max is a very good looking Blue and Gold and it is nice to see your wife loving him also.

We spent most of the morning moving cages again, Andy has a new cage now
I had to take the legs off of Andy's old cage so when Max is out and about
Rose Ann can get to him, the cage was way to high, Rose had to get a foot
stool to reach him and get him to step up.

Now he has a good sized cage, he seems to be content.

His feathers are in poor shape, Rose is making a vets appointment for him
this coming week.
Andy and Sachmo are downstairs in my rescue room now, so I am not so lonely down here anymore.
Max has some very nasty words, he told Rose Ann to shut the f..k up.
In a way, its kinda humorous, on the other it explains some of the wrongs this bird has endured.
We need to get him on a healthy diet and seen by our vet.
Today Max will get a much needed shower, I looked his wing over well, this is not a deformity
this is an injury, so hopefully our vet can take some x-rays and something can be done to help Max.
Just think, people pay big money to travel to other countries to see and hear the things I
enjoy everyday, now there is the sound of the Majestic Macaw added to our little tropical home.
I think it would be nice however to hear the TV once in awhile...LOL

Congratulations, Arty, I know how much you've always wanted a Macaw! Max is a beauty, and I know it won't be long before you and Rose have him in tip-top condition. Sorry to hear about his language, I hate it when people teach them words and phrases like that. I suppose some think it's funny, but I think it says something sad about our sense of humor.

Arty, from the pictures it looks like the big guy is adjusting very well. He has a satisfied look and his face and do not appear to feel out of place.

oh Arty! We are so happy for you and Rose! and Max! Ruby is hollering "STEP-UP!!!!" at the computer! She may be in love! hahaha! Please send her more photos! He is so sweet he hardly has a beak! Have fun with him! He is one lucky bird.
