Kita is thrilled when I have the time to supervise and play with her on the floor. It's her favorite thing to do! She just loves to jump and play with her ball and will do it until her tongue is wagging. The other day she did a walk-about through the house as I quietly followed behind her to be sure she stayed safe and out of areas she shouldn't be in. She stops every so often to play with a toy then heads off again, looking for the next toy.

She's a bold little thing on the floor too. She marched up to the Poms that were behind the gated bedroom doorway, made a motion forward like she wanted to bite them and started laughing very loud, as she turned to walk away. I just about died laughing when I saw her do that.

I've read that Macaws don't like being on the floor. Do your Macaws like to play on the floor or is my gal the odd one that does?

I dont have macaws but my goons love the floor! Occy loves to chase wiffle balls! Jim & Mar saw him do it, Its the best!

Mikey Blue LOVES being on the floor. The rest prefer to be up high.

Cooper LOVES to play on the floor. I roll a ball across the floor and he will chase it, pick it up and bring it back to me (parrot version of "fetch"!). LOL He also loves to stand off a distance from me and wait until I look away, and then he runs (well, actually waddles) up to me as quick as he can and yells to startle me (or I let him think he is surprising me anyway -- I always fuss and make a big deal that the has surprised me). He then will turn tail and laugh all the way back to his starting point and start over agan. I think it is so cute how Cooper plays games.....

Mango loves walking around the floor. When he's chasing me he does this little run, hop/flap, run move that just cracks me up!

He'd rather be on me but loves running around the floor.

When Midnite the pup is out those two play (closely supervised). The pup prances down on the front, nose to the floor, but up and tail wagging. Mango opens the beak and spreads he wings and does not back down. As soon as Midnite diverts some attention, Mango goes in for the strike and tweaks her toes then turns and runs to the other side of the coffee table to start the game all over again.

I'd love to film it but that would distract from the close supervision during these interludes. Unless I can get one of the boys to assist.

Sammy does not like the floor that much. He'll run across it to grab things or tweak toes but runs back to get to a higher point.
