Default Picasso escaping.....

Not only is Picasso escaping, but NOW he is breaking out Skittles as well!!!!! This morning I came downstairs and they were both on top of Skittles cage, with SKittle's cage door open. I thought, nahh, Steve must have let them out b4 he went to bed and forgot to put them back or something. Then when I was cleaning their tree and put them in their cages, my son and I WATCHED as Picasso (in a matter of seconds) opened his door, flew over to SKittles cage, and opened hers.

So needless to say, we are off to Home Depot today to buy, I don't know what, to baracade him in his cage. I'm just glad he was nice enough to stay on her cage all night and not chew my house apart!!!!

LOL, they are just too smart. I've had to do the watch and see how they do it test a time or two myself after I have stood there looking at the bird on top of the cage that I was positive I put IN the cage!

We have a master mechanic here.Oscar our Btm will sneek of his manznita and take the bolts out of the breeder doors on the Kings cages and his pals can escape after bed time if we don't check them Not one yet has got out the main door on a kings but they have tried the feeder doors and breeder doors lol. We had island and previews in the past and they were childs play for them. We had more hardware on them to prevent this than the cages cost Don't ya just love watching them do it though!

Mine can sneak out when I put the food in but I can make them "go home"!

LOL Andrea. I think they both learned it from Fester, the Severe!! Remember his antics???? My Scarlet removes the food bowl doors - yes, the entire doors on his cage (Kings) daily. Fortunately, he is too large to get out of the opening.

Jim - are they SS? Do you think they would keep a macaw out of trouble?

We have a catalina macaw at the store that we have in her own cage that will let escape through the food or breeder doors and then let all the finches, Tiels,Canaries, and Rosellas out if we dont catch her in time...The key to keeping her in her cage is putting her cage up against another cage so she has no way to open any of the doors...And she laughs about it...or maybe she is just laughing at my attempt to match my haircolor to her feathers (inside joke LoL !!)

P.s-I promise the color is changing
