All the bids are lovely of course.

Getting back to the original bird - could it be a variation within the B&G population? They cover such a large range - there's bound to be some variation from one end to the other in their territories? Hybridization being part of the mix too.

Thumbs up Re: pic of my B&G???...or miligold???

That is a beautiful Milligold and he looks like my little "Shacky" I have raised him from a egg and he is now 2 yrs old. Dad is a Military & mom is a B&G, very smart Macaws! Shack now says his ABC's, and complete sentences , I have 10 macaws but Shack is far the best talker and picks words, and phrases up very fast.

Could you post a photo of your's? The other Miligolds looked so different. It must be the dominance of the Mom's genes at play here? Do you other Miligold owners know if the male or female was a B&G?

I think quite a few of the Macaw species blush. My two Green-winged Macaws blush. From pictures I have seen Red-Fronts and Caninde's are big blushers also.

Hmm, I have over 12 Macaws and the only ones that blush are the Militarys and they are known for this. I have raised them for about 10 yrs and this is a first for me.
