The rain and hail finally stopped and temperatures reached 70 again! K&K got to go outside so I snapped a few pics. I snapped quick but I tell ya, I cannot take a decent picture with this new camera to save my life! My little cheap Kodak took better pictures than this expensive Canon. I really need to find time to read my Camera book, I'm sure I can do much better than these with a little info about how to use this camera!

Anyway, they both enjoyed their time outside so I wanted to share! Pics are with all doors to their aviaries closed, as they are flighted.

Oh, please excuse my deck, it's been power washed but not re-stained yet.

They look so good, is Kita not worried about outside anymore?

I really enjoy seeing them outside in the sun. Their colors are brilliant red. Do they climb around on all of those perches you have in their aviary?

She still has her days where I can see she's not really happy to be out, then she'll have days where I play 'catch me if you can' when it's time to come in!


Oh they do! This is the first year we put so many perches in (we increased each aviary to 5x10) and it's so funny to see what they do on them. They both run all around on all of them like they're on a race track. After seeing their sheer enjoyment of all the perches, we're going to add more perches like that to their big inside enclosures.

Different size perches are great for exercising their feet. That is great to hear they are all over them.
