Spectacular pictures Karen! Thanks for sharing, I always so love to see aviary pics. Kady and Kita look to be having a blast out there.

You said it was 5x10 each?? - I was thinking it was one big aviary - could you take a far away photo so I can see the whole thing??

I love the set up too - your birds look like they are in birdy heaven. Great perches.

The Canon must take some getting used to. I can hardly wait until I have a camera that I can 'work' with. The cheaper versions do have their charm tho - point & click & keep only the ones that are OK. I'm sure you'll be posting 'Nate quality' photos in no time.

PS - what's that 'orange thing' in Kita's photos?

What kind of Canon is it? When shooting through bars (i.e. bird cages, or zoos, chain-link)...lighting is the key. If it is shaded then you'll have no luck getting a good pic. It's all about settings, settings, settings!!!...and lighting If you need more pointers, just ask The books seem to be a tad confusing.

I believe the orange toy is one of those plastic "bullet proof" toys?

Did that aviary come build that way, or did you make it yourself? Poe's dad, BFA friend of Eve's wants to make one for his back porch, yours looks like what he would want to do. Where did you get it?
