I went and bought Harley a pack of variety nuts. Well, it lasted her roughly a month. She loves them too! However, I cannot find them anywhere that isn't outragously expensive. I checked the farmer's market, whole foods and the grocery stores, they are not there. I went to Drs Foster/Smith. They had them, but they are quite pricy for the amount I need. Where do you buy yours and how much do they cost?

Try Costco if you have one in your area.

Our stores here don't have any mixed nuts left either.

We buy at Sams they are About $8. for a 5LB bag. We also have a seed wholesaler and a nut wholesaler in MI.

We get ours from a local co-op, buying in bulk and mixing and matching nuts to the likes of the Goons. We pay $1.99/lb. for locally-grown hazelnuts (filberts) and walnuts, $2.79/lb. for almonds and brazil nuts, $3.99 for pecans and pistachios (unsalted). All in the shell. Usually the co-op's supply runs out just about the time the new crops are ready. They tell me they ordered a lot more this year because we come in weekly and buy from them :-). Unshelled nuts (cashews and mixed nuts) we buy for about $4/lb. from Winco. We spend about $50/week on their nuts, and more for their dried and fresh fruits and veggies.
