Keke has started this new habit she will get close to Leo then she grabs his nose. He is not worried about her grabbing his nose she never bites down but she has now decided that she can stick her tongue up his nose. Kind of gross I have told her you can pick your friend, you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friends nose she just laughs and tries again. I have noticed that she seems to be using her tongue a lot with Leo most of the time it isn't a problem but well this is kind of gross and she doesn't do it all the time just when you lest expect it. She doesn't do this with anyone else. But he is her favorite human of all time. She has also decided that she shouldn't have to stay in the living room when everyone else goes out of the room for more than 10 min even if you take her back to her perch she will just climb down and come back. I have tried not picking her up but she just leaves and goes into Leo's office. When in the office she climbs up on his chair and waits there doing nothing else but I don't want her somewhere I can't see her there is just to much to get into as she loves paper any suggestions.

I think human noses have way too many germs for a birdie. Probably worse for a bird to do than picking teeth.

I guess the answer it to give her own office on her stand complete with paper and books. I string cardboard pieces on a cable tie for smaller birds and the bigger ones can read phone books.

LOL Gail...welcome to the club of wandering macaws! Maple does that...put her back as I may...she has to come back down and follow! I usually end up putting her in something she can't get off of...like her hula hoop or her play stand....worst case...her house!
As for the nose licking/picking....just keep removing her. In fact, if I were Leo...I'd put her back on her cage or stand or something for a moment...so she gets the idea that if she does it, she can't stay up with Daddy. A sharp NO works well for my guys...they know what it means. Or a distraction...food, paper to destroy, etc....it'll take time if she is really insistent on it.
I can't wait to meet her !!!

Maple is so right, Roy follows people around like a lost puppy! Have you seen those paper dispensing toys? They are really cool and super easy to refill!! It might keep your nosey bird happy for a bit
