sorry i haven't been updating as much. it's harder during the week when my hubby and i are working. fortunately though, he works at home, and i work at night. so ivy has someone all day every day

anyways, i will hopefully have lots more photos and video for you all this weekend.
ivy is settling in nicely. we wake up and snuggle on the couch a bit before breakfast. this morning, she seemed to eat a bit more than usual. she really loves banana baby food! she is a very picky eater, but i am being patient and i keep offering to her. she is able to crack mac nuts, which is fun to watch. i wish i could get her to eat her pellets, though. i was told she had been eating pretty bird, and was given some of it. but she won't touch it. she will take harrison's in her mouth but then spit it back out. we have to make it into powder and put it into baby food to get her to eat it.
today is the first say she hasn't dropped weight since we took her to the vet. so i am hoping her weight will start going back up. i've been checking it around the same time every morning, before breakfast.
also, she seems to understand where her bowls are. i count out a few mac nut halves and put them into her 2 food bowls. and they are always gone when i check again. her pellets and dry mix go untouched, of course!
been keeping all her perches low still. she is not totally sturdy so i do worry about her falling. we put her super soft rope perch up near the top at night so she can roost more comfortably. but then take it down during the day, just for now.
she LOVES to snuggle! doesn't seem to like to go on her back though. she loves having her beak rubbed, and "holding hands" with her beak. she also loves to fly and be up high. i've had to climb up to get her down from a few places, but it seems like she might learn easily where is off limits.
all in all, ivy is settling in wonderfully! we are falling into a routine that i think will solidify in the near future. i am so happy
