is he clipped? i was thinking you kept all your birds flighted. i really want to keep ivy flighted but i don't think it's going to be possible in the house. i am really hoping for our next house though!

How old is he now?

Mikey's wings were absolutely butchered by the breeder when she sent him here. We'd asked he not be clipped, so I don't know why she did.. Worst clip I've ever seen. What you see now are what's left of those clipped feathers--they haven't molted out, yet. When they do, the new ones won't be clipped. Despite having a few old flights left, he can still fly about 10 feet. Amazing, really--he never fledged, AND he's usually a floor chicken and only flies when my eldest son gets too close. Something about Dan frightens him, but none of us really knows what it is.
