I would if I thought they won't be reduced to dust. Ingredients look good. Karen you try it and see if your red birds use or destroy.

I don't add any mineral block.

Between the varied diet and Nekton-S vitamins, I don't think I need too.

Yeah, that's what made me wonder if I should be offering those. I also use Nekton S when I supplement, which is usually twice a week. How often do you use it?

I add some to the water daily.

I've been using Nekton successfully since 1988 when my Vet scolded me for using some liquid vitamin supplement at my first visit to her with my wild-caught unhandleable M2.

I swear by them. The Nekton-Bio is amazing with a feather plucker.

I do supplement so I don't believe they need more but the budgies have so much fun sharpening or filing beaks on the blocks. The suns and ringies reduce to dust in a matter of minutes.

We add the super large Manu mineral perches a couple times/year. The Goons love 'em, although those things can get REAL messy, real fast. Arthur especially loves making mud out of his water dish with pieces of the Manu perch :-).

I have the Manu perches in my macaw cages also... and they seem to gnaw on them when they feel the urge.

I think I'm going to add the perches for them just in case they want them or if their body is telling them they have have a need for it.

Do anyone have a recommendation for a good site for the perches?

I once put a Manu mineral block in Cooper's cage. It sat there for a year in stoney silence before I took it out. Coop ignored it the whole time -- not a single gnaw-mark on it! Maybe on a perch he would use it.
