Default Macaw in small cage

Banjo does not cease to amaze me with the places she can go. Banjo has come to the conclusion that Tess gets better food. Tess also believe Banjo is given better food, it seems they need to go check out the other birdie supply. I am wondering if I write "Tessica" on Banjo's dish and "Banjo" on Tess's dish is there a chance they will eat out of own dishes? They get exactly the same just serving size differs.

The cages are not closed during the day so the birdies come and go, I would not have believed that Banjo could fit into the partially open door. I had to completely open the front to get Banjo out again.

OMG that is pretty funny! The little darling in a small cage. Good thing the side opens - I'd have to lift the whole top off. When that tail is big Banjo may not get all inside - I'd like to see that photo!

Guess you're going to have to get dishes on the outside of the cage; on the top - I use the top a lot to get mine to share.

Laker & Rio do the same thing. I think they like being naughty. Rio pushes Laker out of his cage & takes over his food dish. Laker looks on & quietly wanders into Rio's cage & chows down. The amusing thing is, as Rio rarely uses his own dish, Laker gets all the choice food. So much for being pushy.

Oh yes the tail, casualty of flying or rather emergency landings (we wont say crash land). She needs a GPS or navigator.

Dishes on the top have not met with a lot of success, ever heard of gravity and testing if gravity always works? Or maybe they want to do art work and sell the design of the mess on the floor. They know they throwing since the look over the edge. Budgies are cool for that they never lift anything.

Laker is a clever birdie, I wish I knew why they need someone else's dish. I guess with Banjo the food must taste better because she has so much difficulty to try reach into the dish.

Ah yes - gravity & larger birds. See everyone ~ the Budgie wins again - pretty 'neat' little things when all is said & done.

I remember the food wall & floor when I bird sat Bunny. Dear sweet Bunny.

So what are you going to do?

& Will you be mainly feeding Banjo later on, when you train? or what? - I ask cause I think that's what some will end up doing when they take their big birds out & they use food as a motivator.

Angie that is so funny! I can just imagine that Banjo was quite proud of herself also.

We have dish, cage and play stand envy here also. There is no greater accomplishment than getting into someone else's space and then flaunting the fact that they did it by playing with the other ones toys and eating their food!

I have not worked this out yet since Banjo is not very food motivated, or I have not found the best treat yet. She does mostly enjoy her food but it has to be a treat she has desperate need of. Banjo does truly try to come when called but as yet her flying skills need a lot more development. At the moment she flies to me but ends up going to fast, she needs to think about where to land before she flies. She flies over my head, landing gear down but not able to stop in time. I have tried to help with my arm up, but this gets painful when she uses my arm to hold on beak and talon to stop herself. Practice make perfect.

Banjo was extremely proud. I am sure they go nah nah to each other. It did help when Tess eats Banjo food, then Banjo has to eat quick. Banjo has been playing with food and not eating. The day Banjo makes it into the budgie cage is going to result in the budgie cage being taken apart, there is no second door to open. Sometimes birds seem more like little kiddies than flock the way they need to push each other buttons. I think they just play with other birdie toys just to see what the owner will do.

She has been going in the small cage everyday, she goes to rip newspaper. Banjo has a grid in her cage so she cant reach her own newspapers.
