Default Lack of Macaw puff scent lately...

Okay, so anyone who has been around B&G, B&G hybrids, GW knows how they usually have a fruity scent to them.

Bailey doesn't really puff or smell like fruit loops that much anymore ,':*( I wonder why that is?

Mainly only when I take him outside..then I get an instant puff and scent....or when I FIRST get home. You don't think that means he's sick, not happy, etc???????????????????????/

I mean he really comes across as a super happy, intellegent, well-off bird. I tell people he's the happiest parrot I've ever seen.

So what's going on with my Macaw?!

Maple and Harley's birdy smell seems to come and go too. I never really thought anything of it. But yes, it is more noticable outside, etc.

I never really thought about it coming and going. I guess it does. I can smell it better outside too. Sometimes I sniff her so hard she almost goes up my nose! ha!

Okay just checking because the lady who ran the rescue I used to work at said if a B&G looses it's smell, it's ill

But she's the only person I've heard say that.

Sit him in the sunlight for a couple of hours, and he'll smell heavenly :-).

Might he need a shower or bath? Mine always smell great just after their showers.

Roy only really smells when he's outside too. I sent my friend some of his feathers before, and a few weeks after she emailed me saying she thought she was going crazy, because she was smelling macaw everywhere.. turns out she left them by her window and the breeze caught them hehe

Kita has the most wonderful smell. It's not fruity though, it reminds me of the best fresh air you've ever smelled.
