We really do need to watch what we give them to play with. I had a Ring Neck that did the same thing. The result was a toe torn off. I felt just horrible, just as you are feeling, Josh. We buy toys made for birds and assume they are safe. It is not our fault! It just makes be a little more cautious...which is a good thing.

Oh my gosh... I never even thought of this... I need to go home today and re-examine Nigel's cage. Josh, think of it this way... Jewel now sees you as her hero.... :-) I'm very glad it all turned out well and please don't blame yourself; heck, you just taught me a valuable lesson because I seriously didn't give thought to double checking the toys. Accidents happen, no matter what... but at least this helps us keep an eye out.

Thanks for the kind words guys.... I just got home from work and Jewel is just as active and crazy and loveable and cudly as ever. Her bruise is almost gone and her foot looks fine.

I guess sometimes we can take things personally.... I'm a 24 year old father of 6, lol... what can I say?
