Default Ivy, Bathing and Preening

ivy still sits like a wet rock in the shower. every now and then she will get some wing flaps going, but she mostly just sits there getting wet. she doesn't try to get away or anything, she doesn't seems confused, not knowing what to do!

she has started preening a little. she will preen her tail for a few seconds here and there. she will also hold her wing with her foot and "preen" the smaller feathers at the top of her wing. this past weekend, i saw a hy at the zoo doing the exact same thing. anyone else experience this?

she hasn't done much more preening yet aside from this. but she LOVES to go through my hair, hold clumps of it, and "preen". she really just gets it all tangled, but i let her because i think it might help her learn to preen herself.

she's been biting her nails more, and while i don't see pieces coming off, they are looking a bit raggedy. wish she was more tolerant of the nail file. her beak is still peeling a lot too, but it seems pretty healthy. you can just tell that her appearance definitely isn't her number one concern she is super careful about her tail though, it's in perfect shape.

ah, i love my girl

I just love when they do that. I think it feels good like going to the beauty shop.

Who likes a girl whose only concern is her looks anyway! They are never any fun. We think Ivy is just beautiful and perfect the way she is. Ruby also preens my hair. In fact she likes to just sit on my head, kind of like a feather hat!

Rosie my SM does this. Not exactly as what you said, but she'll hold her wing with her beak and rub her head with her feeties. LOL
