Congratulations!! I had a funny feeling when I read your post yesterday that you guys were going to visit Todd's today, that the little 'big' one was going to get new parronts!
Thanks. I am not sure that they have ever had a baby Buffons. I was told that it would not be as long as a Hy but it would be longer than a GW.
He/she is 4 months old now and is still on 3 feedings. He/she does eat regular food and the weaning sticks so I think it may go faster than they originally thought.
One thing though they do not force the babies to wean. That makes me happy. I did bring our Hy home a little early. She was 9 months old and was on one feeding but reverted to 2 shortly after coming home. I had to bring her home a little early as there was an incidence of psittacosis in a nearby store. As Hys have delicate immune systems for their first year especially I was afraid that someone could have inadvertently infected her. She really weaned pretty fast. I started to give her the formula in a dish after a month of feeding with a syringe. When she had to work for it she started to refuse it. I have to mention that she was eating plenty of other foods at the time.
I really want the new one home but will be content to wait until they are weaned.
By the way, your babies are really cuties! I can't wait to see their progress over the coming weeks.

Are we really that easy to figure out??
Thanks a lot!
