Sorry, I've only been to replying to PMs for the last week lol
Roy does go for lengths without being clipped, but really.. he doesn't fly to me when called... he'll find a way to climb down what he is on and walk over. This can be anything... stands, the cage, beds, couches, chairs.. I don't know why. He's opted to fall off things instead of flying

It's very confusing, he's done it all his life. As I said, he usually only gets one actual FLIGHT in a month, usually when he gets nervous about a bird hitting the window or something similar. He's not bad at it; he just.. doesn't do it. He hasn't since the day we brought him home, though we tried doing flight work outs outside before (to which he opted out of and went about toad hunting)
He does get a lot of winged work-outs, but it usually involves him gripping a hanging rope or chain, then flapping to get momentum and wheel himself in circles.
Emily is right in assuming he can still fly some, enough that if he truly did want to fly to me, he could (and did!) reach me in the livingroom or the hall. The way the stand is set however, he would not easily meddle in the kitchen
I am not looking for a debate either (I haven't told anyone what to do, afterall), but I do not mind answering questions about Roy as an individual! He is truly a different boy, came home with a bucket load of strange habits and ideas all his own. But he is the one for me!
And PS to Em- you're too golden!
And Homebird- what beautiful curtains! Very nice indeed!
