Just spoke to Jeremy, my vet. They are going to take off the damaged part of the toe down to the joint. They need to knock him out to do this, which of course with any animal is dangerous, he'll also be getting a satellite dish collar for the next 10 days.

John will be picking him up around 7pm tonight.

Ciccio is home! He's a little out of it but doing great, he ate like a pig then got some lovin and now he's in bed for the night. He's still wearing the same collar, thank God. He did "stretch" it a bit tonight and it did bleed a little but nothing to be worried about.
