Manyfeathers asked me to post a photo of Bowie's sister, Blondie, so you can see how much alike they look. Like Bowie, Blondie is going through a hard molt, AND she has that same nasty looking wing clip that the store gave both of them. Nevertheless, she's a beauty, too! Also very sweet, as she loves to roll over on her back and snuggle with Cynthia. Bowie isn't that snuggly, but he's still a sweet bird. Blondie still isn't weaned. Her only "example" for learning to eat has been Kenobi's special-needs brother, Squeaky, who can't eat normal food, and is handfed 2 or 3x/day. So Blondie is learning to eat big bird food slowly, and is gaining weight and nice new feathers, but for now she's still on a handfeeding or two per day.

Anyway, here is lovely Blondie. What a beauty!

Oh, Blondie isn't going anywhere! They weren't bread by/at Manyfeathers--we got them from another source. Right now she's a pet, but when she grows up, Blondie is slated to become part of the breeding program at Manyfeathers Aviary.
