Default what do u think of this cage?

so, I was on the phone with Lisa over at Todd Marcus today and she mentioned she had a cage on cionsignment that might be good for my lory.

She has to find out exactly how low the people might be willing to go, but their asking $300

Its a 3 hour drive to go get it so that adds to the expense.

What do you think? I'm thinking maybe it would help with the Lory mess?

I have to deep clean and scrub Jackies cage almost once a week and its doing a lot of damage to the paint.

Maybe this is Lory friendly?

If I do get it, I;d need them to hold it until the end of Feb when I get back from florida and she has to find out if the people who they are selling it for will go for that.

how big is it? i dunno, at first glance i would say a big "no" because of the acrylic. there is really no way to add more/new perches except near the top. also, no bars to climb except in the dome. how would she get to the top of the cage? you would have to clean and scrub this once a week too, i am sure. for that much money, i would look into a stainless steel over the acrylic. also, a lot less circulation with the acrylic.

Circulation is something to think about. I can put things for her to clib like ladders and ropes. she can get to the dome.

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the acrylic pops outso you can clean it separatley.

The problem with any cage is that they poop all over the bars constantly, so it gets cacked into the joints. Would a stainless cage in that size be more than 300?

hm, well, looking at smaller cages in general in SS, doesn't look like you would get one around $300.

i dunno, i've just always been really iffy on acrylic-type cages.
