Default My lorikeets

For those of you who don't know me I have 2 rainbow lorikeets. Olly who's about 10months old and Pip who is 4 months old. These guys are personality plus. Olly is an incredible mimic, Pip still hasn't found his voice yet (and I'm not complaining). The comment I most hear about these guys is the mess. Yes, they are messy and it's something you need to keep on top of. I've had budgies who seem to be able to spread their seed mess further though.
IMO if you want a medium size bird (130gm average weight) full of personality, colour and fun, and you are willing to clean daily around their cage, you can't go wrong with a lorikeet.

Hi Abby, love the pics of Pip and Olly, what cuties. My grandsons are both in love with the Rainbow Lorikeet's. We went to a sanctuary and got to feed them and play with them. They all had such wonderful personalities.

They are adorable! I am often tempted because they are wonderful little birds and easily available in Australia but the mess factor does scare me off. Can you imagine the mess in my bird room?

I held a lorikeet for the first time a few weeks ago and they are just STUNNING! I don't know much about them, but I will research them more. They seem like wonderful birds.
