Default Robin trying visit....

There is an adorable Robin perching in the tree just outside our window, hears our birds and wants to visit. This morning while getting ready for work, I heard the little Robin banging against our window several times appearing to want to visit our flock. I was afraid that the little thing would get injured so went out ensured he left the area. Not sure if he will be back. Any suggestions about how to stop him from banging against the window? I don't want him to get hurt.

Is he banging on the window with his beak, or is he deliberately flying at and crashing into the window? If he's pecking at the window, I doubt he'll actually hurt himself. Hopefully he'll grow tired of it quickly.

I would put a shade on the window around the time he usually visits. He probably hears your birds and sees his own reflection.

Ruby says "just let him in!" We have a sparrow that will come in occasionally.

Maybe the little one is hungry , a handful of seed here and there couldn't hurt.
Maybe a drink of water.
Make a friend, one never has enough little friends.
I walk with Nate on this one.

Well, he was back this morning. He was sitting on the chair today, he actually throws himself into the window, not just beak pecking. I will feed him and make friends, after all the wild turkey has grown to love the nuts I am feeding him! Thanks everyone.

Eve has several birds that visit him. Strawberry finches, goldfinches, house sparrows, starlings, blue jays, and robins...to name a few. They all land on the phone line coming into the house and yell for Eve to be put in the porch cage. I put Eve put and they hang out and show off their babies to Eve, it is very cute.

JR have you looked at the window from the Robin's view? Maybe he's seeing something shine through the pane that's attracting him. Maybe some window decals might help.

You could possibly put some various stickers on the windows. Not really stickers but those things that can peel off and on. Maybe it will give him a perspective that there is a window there.
