Both my Great-Grandmother and great-Grandfather (on my father's side) were from there as well. Actually, we think he migrated there from the Channel Islands with the fishing fleet; he's a bit of a mystery. My Great-Grandmothers father was a missionary in Red Bay, Labrador.

Well I know it has to be an exaggeration - but the people from the East are fabulous. Newfies are wonderful - have yet to meet one I don't like. Wonderful artists over there too. I know you don't know everyone on the Rock but....do you guys know Scott Goudy[sp] - Intaglio guy, does wonderful landscapes - Mezzotints?
One of my best friends is from the Halifax region - salt of the earth type.

Woody is flying free today! He was doing much better, so Mom let him go.

Kris, has your Mom seen Woody? If your Mom did some sort of noise while around him he'll remember that noise and could do a fly by to at least let your Mom know he is still around.

That's great news - hope he learned something about survival. He might come back to her on cold days.

Just thought I'd leave an update on Woody.
He began eating and drinking really well by the next day, clinging to the sides of the cage, pooping all over and being very vocal.
I kept him another day to give him a chance to rest, and as he kept trying to fly in the small cage I decided he would be better off outside if he could actually fly.
This he did after a couple of false starts, lol. He is now back where he belongs and I hope he is happy and still safe.I keep watching for him as we have large trees near our yard.
Thanks for everyone help about feeding and such.
