Here's some photos,

I really don't know what to think about this little bird.

The Racing Pigeon was caught in a box trap, I told the person on the phone how to catch the bird, apparently he forgot to place some weight ontop the box and the bird escaped, flew to the neighbord house and landed on the roof, so this guy gets out his ladder and goes up onto the roof and the bird takes off, I found this out about a mile from his house...so no rescued Racer today...Geeeeez.

The hardest thing is my eyesite, even with my readers on.
This little bird is just so tiny.
I am calling John this morning (beaks) and consult with him.
This little bird has no Apparent injuries, Wings and feathers appear to be normal, both legs and Talons are fine, I simply don't know why this little one can't fly.
I am finding it very hard to determine if this little one is an adult and or a fledge.
If there are internal injuries, this I simply can not tell from my observations.
He/she appears fine to me in all aspects, I can't offer Baytril not knowing if Baytril is needed.
He/she is hungry, so time for a feeding...

Ahhh so sorry Arty

- boy did you try tho - i think that in everything we do we grow, even when maybe we just couldn't do enough in our reckoning.

- it must have been too late - or there was some virus or something there.

That you did Arty. I am so sorry. Your little one knew comfort during his last days. Thank you for all you do.

The shoulda coulda are hitting me....
I can't believe I failed that little bird...
Arty hates Arty right now.
This just sickens me
The tinyest little bird found his/her way to me for help and I failed him/her

Tiny Wings,
I am going to miss you.
The other birds will too.
I looked forward to the day
that you would fly away.
I was preparing to say goodbye...
but not like this.
How could the death of a little bird,
an "insignificant" sparrow,
pierce my heart so deeply,
and shake me to the marrow?
I did everything I knew,
to feed and comfort you.
I laughed when you fluttered
your Tiny Wings.
If you could have lived by love and will,
Little bird, you'd be here still.
But instead, I held you as you died.
I saw your last breath leave you.
I felt your tiny heart stop, and
you had to feel mine, too.
You never got to try your wings,
and here I can't fly either.
I must believe that there has to be,
a different place for you and me.
The time must come when we'll meet again,
and we will soar together, on little,
Tiny Wings.
