Default More Robins

Here's the baby robins in the bush on the side of our house. Mama robin laid 3 eggs & as of today all 3 had hatched.

From yesterday... 1-2 day old baby, one 1 day old baby & 1 egg.

Today... 3 babies - 2-3, 2 & 1 day old.

The shutter clicking today got the 2 oldest babies chirping & begging.

Oh, & the whole 3 of 'em would about fit in my palm. (I do have small hands tho.)

Great pictures Leah! Thanks for sharing with us. I hope these babies don't outgrow their nest.

Well, there are only 2 babies today. I don't know what happened.) It looks like baby #2 is gone. 1 & 3 are still here though. I'll try to upload today's pix.

Leigh - you are so lucky! I feel so blessed that we have robins for the 2nd year in a row & a cardinal nesting here for the first time.

Oh thats heartbreaking. I watched a crow raid a mockingbird nest last night and I was freaking out. I have 2 more nest to worry over. 2 doves, smaller than mourning doves but look the same are nesting on top of my cedar lattice in a rose bush. The nest is thin and if the eggs fall behind it or a baby falls back there I wont be able to get to it since its against a wall. Then finches have built a very sturdy nest on my arbor in the clematis on the side yard. Very close to last years nest from Lady the dove. But its on the side yard and the neighbors kids are spawn from satan! If they mess with the nest Ill go nuts on them.
