I didn't realize the size of them! It puts it all in perspective to see the size of the car and the size of the Moose. That woman is indeed lucky. Poor Moose though.

They are truly massive and impressive animals, and I love to see them........but not in the middle of the road, or in the act of running out in front of me. Within the last couple of months in an area of 100 miles from here we've had several fatalities, one of them a double where a husband and wife were both killed, another was a motorcyclist.

It's yet another sad case of evolution serving an animal well right up until we came along.

They are such impressive animals. Too bad about your garden tho. Maybe some fairy lights might help? - or solar powered LED lights.

I remember getting out of the car [despite road signs to the contrary - they warn they are very dangerous] in the Canadian Rockies to photo a small herd of them.

I was driving on one of our toll highways a few weeks ago & saw this small sign warning of a deer crossing - yah right - stopping at 120km/hr isn't doing to happen easily if a deer shows up. So far no Moose around TO.

My brother hit a deer with his motorcycle quite a few years ago - likely both walked away - the bike did not.
