Please don't kill them.
My little friends are so many this year, they are tearing up our yard in the worse way this year, I have never seen such yard damage before.
When you see there tunnel, dig down close to the tunnel deep enough to place a large deep salad bowl, the bowl will need to be flush with the ground level, Moles come out at night and browse around, they will fall into the bowl and will not be able to get out.
Some folks fill the bowl with water and drown the little ones, Please don't harm them...PLEASE...they are living the life given to them and they can hurt as we do, catch them alive and relocate them, I take the ones I catch down to the park and let them go in the wooded areas or the field accross the street and release them.
There's no need to take there lives away from them, they are moles, they eat grubs and worms...this is what they do to survive.
I replace the clod of grass and dirt after I catch the little one and water well.
A little effort and kindness on your behalf will assure the little animal will continue to live the life given to them.
Say NO to those terrible traps and or poisons.

To cause them to relocate without harming them, you can cut the top off a plastic coke bottle. Place the coke bottle top side (lid off) down in the hole, the cut side level with the ground. Maybe the wind whistling in the bottle drives them away but they leave without dying or becoming trapped.
