I was sitting outside last night listening to my wild ones when all of a sudden I heard something familiar. A bird call that I hadn't heard in four years.
I realized two years ago that I no longer heard the call of the Whippoorwill
At the time I knew why...Hurricane Charlie had decreased their nesting sites. They must now be returning with all the new vegetation.
