absolutely brutal! I wonder what happened to the calf after all of that. Id warn anyone that watches though its graffic.

The calf may have survived as he did not appear too damaged. Buffalo are fairly tough when it comes to surviving injuries. A lion kills by suffocating so he may not have serious puncture wounds on his neck.

I saw this on a documentary on TV, and the guy who shot it said it was one of the most remarkable things he's ever seen. They also went back and searched the entire area and found no remains of a buffalo. They are saying he was just a lucky tuff little guy. I loved the way the family came to the rescue.

Just goes to prove.....when it's your time, it's your time....when it's not, it's not.

Its a little nerve wracking but worth the watch. The little guy makes it but has to really put up quite a fight. Its amazing how the herd comes to the rescue. Id say watch it.
