She's been feeding them all day! I think the problem happens when they are all pumping and trying to position themselves. Or landscape is rich with earthworms, and theres always bird food out, and plenty of water. Im sure her belly is full enough to feed them. I just kept that ladder out. Just in case.

Leigh, be careful with your back. There's a robin nesting in our bush of Arborvitae too. She only laid 3 tho & 1 baby hatched early today.

It could be that the nest is a bit too small and as the babies get bigger, one of them could push another one off it, I guess. It doesn't happen with canaries but maybe it does with wild birds. But, as long as she is feeding all of them, it's fine.

I like the safety 'net' contraption you made for them. A gold star for creativity, Leigh!

Ive been busy so I had no time to update. Yesterday morning I checked every 30 minutes. Around 11 I went out to find another little one down. I picked it up and it was cold. Its fluids ran into my hand. It was NOT the same baby I saved the day before. It was too late for this little one so I buried him in the spot he fell. I tried my best with this. Fly free little Robin. I guess it was Gods will. I really tried....

I'm sorry about the little one, Leigh, bless you for trying. Hopefully the one you rescued the other day will be ok now. You do what you can, help those you can help, mourn the rest and move on. That's all we can do.

So sorry Leigh. You have gone above and beyond to help these little ones get a start in life. Let's hope the rest of them make it.

You are a great mama bird helper, Leigh! Don't you fret about that little one! You were helping all you could. Some things are just above mama bird's and mama bird's helpers!
