When a bird regurgitates, there is a previous and deliberate pumping up and down of the head so they can bring up the food from the crop into the beak. This is usually done in a controlled and calm manner and the food brought up us is offered to a loved one or placed on an object. No mess around the face, head or even beak or around its environment. When the food is brought up suddenly, with just a flick of the head, and there is a mess, it's not regurgitation, it's vomiting and it's a symptom of something. |
