When they are sweet, they are the best! Ive met a few nasty ones and when they bite, they pack a punch! But for the most part, they are good birds with a really sweet voice. My guy talks up a storm and has a belly laugh that can make me smile at the worst times.

Leigh, I saw a huge emerald green Ekkie in the pet store the other day. Disgusting store but that's another post. Anyway, he was awesome and had one hell of a voice. He sounded exactly like a woman along with a heavy woman's laugh. I was amazed! Yep, they're growing on me.

I would love to have a hen. Someday when we build that aviary I want I will rescue a little redhead. But not until then. You would love to here my boy sing. He sings really loud and obnoxious. AAHHHHHHHH La! Ahhhhhhhh la! LLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Its so funny.

yeah, believe it or not. I have always found hens to be a little more nippy. The first exotic I eve handled was a redhead and it wasnt a good first experience. But Evelyn is the model redhead. Model bird for that matter. Now she is a bird I would make room for! I told her mommy, if for any reason anything happened and she needed a safe place for her, my home was open. So I find myself looking at redheads now, trying to see a little Evelyn in them and wanting to take them home. Plucked or not! Doesnt matter to me.

I'm definitely keeping Rosy..something about her. Honey is sweet also, we had them both out last night. We're taking them to the vet on Monday, if all is well Honey might go up for adoption. Are you interested Leigh?
