I think the yellow feathers are from the seed. You can also see where she was barbingoff all those feathers. I wishI could have gotten some of the under of her wings and on her neck. Pin feathers everywhere!

I have seen the various colors before. Isn't due to some mineral or something they have ingested?

Usually, colored pellets are to blame for the discolored pellets, but she doesn't have any of those in her diet. I think it might be due to the egg. I mean, when you think about it, isn't it a little like canabolism? Birds eating eggs?

I wish she hadn't barbed off all those purple feathers, she would be so much farther along! But, we can't change what happened so we are just going from today. Keep your fingers crossed she doesn't barb/pluck them out!

after having medication turn Sophie's feathers yellow I learned it is real easy to do with Eclectus.
Lucy sure is lookin' good!!!
